Lanka Ashok Leyland committed to provide life time maintenance for the Ashok Leyland Water Bowsers gifted by Govt. of India to Sri Lanka for Drought Relief.

In a special event held on 21st March 2017, at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, His Excellency Mr. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, and Mr. Umesh Gautam, CEO – Lanka Ashok Leyland Plc, ceremonially handed over the keys of Ashok Leyland Water Bowsers to His Excellency Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka, and Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Disaster Management, as part of India’s assistance to augment Drought Relief measures in Sri Lanka.

To further reinforce India – Sri Lanka Friendship, Mr. Umesh Gautam (CEO – Lanka Ashok Leyland) committed to His Excellency Mr. Maithripala Sirisena (President of Sri Lanka) and His Excellency Mr. Taranjit Singh Sandhu (High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka), to provide life time free maintenance for these water bowsers. This gesture was well appreciated by His Excellency Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka.
